Power of Attorney Apostille

Notarized and apostilled in Costa Mesa, for use in Mexico and abroad.

Selling property in Mexico, handling an inheritance in Spain, or letting a relative manage a bank account abroad? A power of attorney usually needs to be notarized and then apostilled before another country will accept it. We notarize it on site, get the apostille and get it back to you.

Before you sign

  • Bring the power of attorney ready to sign. We notarize and apostille it, but we can't write it or help with its wording. Notaries aren't allowed to prepare legal documents. Your attorney, or the office receiving it, can provide it.
  • Don't sign it in advance. You sign in front of our notary, with a valid government photo ID.
  • Check the language. Many offices in Mexico want the document in Spanish, or in both English and Spanish. Ask the person receiving it, often a notario público, what they need before you sign.

Already notarized?

  • Signed in front of a California notary: send it to us as is, and we get the apostille.
  • Notarized in another state: we can still get it apostilled, from the state where it was notarized. Send us a scan for a quote.
  • Sending it by mail or courier? It must be notarized before you send it. We can't notarize unless the signer is present.
